JOB SUMMARY: The functions involve the overall administration of shipping and logistics activities of the company. RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES: · Coordinate with the supplier when it comes to shipping aspects · Coordinate with the freight forwarded and customs clearance agent for clearance · Arrange transportation for export and import · Arrange the necessary documents for import and export · Coordinate with each department for parts intended for outsourcing · Track shipments by Land / Sea / Air · Maintaining logistics report for inbound / outbound · Review the customs duties and tax payable to the government Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: · Flexible, able to accept and respond to multi-task assignments quickly and readily · Motivated towards productivity improvements, quality conscientious and safety awareness · Ability to think ahead, anticipate problems, make decisions, and take appropriate actions · Effective leadership style and ability to use appropriate interpersonal skills to guide individuals / groups towards task accomplishment · Must have overall good work record · Must be available to work Day and/or Night Shifts as required and/or assigned · Standard work week is 40 hours EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE · 1 to 2 years of experience in similar role · College degree preferred, College Diploma as a minimum. · Good working knowledge of Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel LOCATION Sohar
